This Intellectual Property Policy explains how Phaser handles content, profiles, links, embedded media, and complaints involving copyright, music rights, trademarks, artist names, image rights, publicity rights, privacy rights, and other intellectual property or personal rights.
Phaser respects copyright, trademark rights, neighbouring rights, moral rights, image rights, privacy rights, publicity and personality rights, contractual rights, and other applicable intellectual property or personal rights.
Users must respect the rights of artists, songwriters, composers, performers, producers, publishers, record labels, photographers, videographers, designers, brands, collaborators, and other rights holders.
Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits any responsibility that Phaser may have under applicable law.
Users are responsible for ensuring that they own or have all necessary rights, licences, permissions, clearances, consents, and authorisations for any content they upload, publish, submit, recommend, or otherwise make available through Phaser.
This includes, without limitation:
The fact that material is publicly available online does not by itself mean that it may lawfully be copied, uploaded, republished, or commercially used on Phaser.
Phaser administrators may create limited artist profiles before the relevant artist has registered on or directly created a profile through the Service.
These profiles are intended to organise and present publicly available professional information about artists and to facilitate music discovery.
An administrator-created profile may include:
Where reasonably possible, Phaser seeks to obtain such information from official, authorised, or otherwise apparently reliable public sources.
Administrator-created profiles will be identified, where appropriate, as Unofficial, Fan-made, Not managed by the artist, or through another similarly clear notice.
An unofficial profile has not necessarily been created, verified, approved, managed, sponsored, or endorsed by the artist or rights holder.
Phaser does not claim to represent the artist and does not claim ownership of the artist's name, stage name, likeness, music, artwork, trademarks, or other rights.
Phaser seeks to limit unofficial profiles to relevant professional information and does not intend to publish private, sensitive, intimate, defamatory, or unnecessary personal information.
Artist names, stage names, band names, logos, symbols, and other identifiers may be protected by trademark, personality, publicity, unfair-competition, passing-off, or other applicable laws.
Users must not create, present, or manage a profile in a way that falsely suggests that it is official, verified, authorised, sponsored, controlled, or endorsed by the artist or rights holder.
The use of an artist name solely to identify the subject of a clearly labelled unofficial profile does not mean that Phaser claims ownership of the name or any official relationship with the artist.
Phaser may rename, relabel, restrict, merge, hide, or remove a profile where reasonably necessary to prevent:
Profile images and other visual content uploaded by fan or artist accounts must be owned by the uploading user or used under a valid licence, permission, exception, consent, or other lawful basis.
Downloading or copying an image from a search engine, social network, press article, streaming service, artist page, photographer's portfolio, album page, or another website does not by itself grant permission to republish it on Phaser.
Where an image identifies another person, the uploader is also responsible for any required consent or lawful basis concerning image rights, likeness, publicity, privacy, and personal-data processing.
Users must not upload private, deceptive, defamatory, impersonating, intimate, or otherwise unlawful images.
Phaser may request evidence of ownership, licensing, consent, or authorisation and may remove or restrict an image while a dispute is assessed.
Phaser is not required to determine complex ownership, licensing, or contractual disputes and may keep content unavailable until the relevant parties resolve the matter independently.
If a user uploads or shares music-related content through Phaser, the user is responsible for ensuring that all required rights and permissions have been obtained.
Depending on the content, this may include:
Phaser does not independently verify ownership, authorship, licensing, royalty arrangements, publishing rights, label rights, distribution rights, neighbouring rights, or other rights associated with user-submitted content.
Phaser may display external links or embedded content supplied by third-party platforms.
A link or embed does not mean that Phaser owns, controls, hosts, or has independently licensed the underlying content.
Users and administrators must not knowingly link to or embed content that:
Where reasonably possible, embedded media used in unofficial artist profiles should originate from an official artist, label, distributor, publisher, rights holder, or another apparently authorised account.
Phaser may remove, disable, or restrict any link or embed:
If you believe that content, a profile, a link, or embedded media available on Phaser infringes your copyright, trademark, music rights, image rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, personality rights, or other rights, you may submit a complaint to:

Where available, an artist, authorised representative, rights holder, or affected person may also use the dedicated public profile-request form displayed for an administrator-created artist profile that has not yet been claimed.
This function may be used to:
The requester may be required to provide a name, email address, role or relationship to the artist, explanation, official reference URL, verification details, and a good-faith confirmation. Requests are recorded for administrative review.
A complaint should include enough information to allow Phaser to identify and assess the reported content or profile.
It should include:
Phaser may request additional information where a complaint is incomplete, unclear, unsupported, contradictory, or difficult to verify.
Knowingly submitting a false, misleading, abusive, or fraudulent complaint may result in rejection of the notice, account restrictions, suspension, termination, or other measures permitted by law.
Submitting a request does not automatically establish that the requester is the artist, an authorised representative, or a rights holder.
Before removing an entire unofficial profile, merging profiles, disclosing account information, or taking another identity-sensitive action, Phaser may request proportionate verification information.
Verification may include:
Verification requirements will be proportionate to the requested action and will not prevent a person from reporting specific allegedly illegal content.
Profile requests may be marked as pending, verification required, verified, accepted, rejected, or resolved. Phaser may reject requests that are fraudulent, abusive, contradictory, materially incomplete, unsupported, or not reasonably verifiable.
An email alert may be sent to the Phaser administrator, but the request record stored in Phaser's database remains available even if email delivery fails.
Phaser may temporarily restrict or hide a disputed profile or item while verification or review is pending.
After receiving a complaint, Phaser may review the reported content, profile, link, or embed and may take action where it believes that the material:
Where the complainant provides valid electronic contact information, Phaser will provide confirmation of receipt without undue delay.
Complaints will be processed in a timely, diligent, objective, and non-arbitrary manner.
Possible actions include:
Phaser may remove or restrict content while a complaint is being reviewed, even where the dispute has not been finally resolved.
Where appropriate and legally required, Phaser will notify the complainant of its decision and provide information about available review or redress options.
Where Phaser removes, disables, restricts, or reduces the visibility of content submitted by a user, Phaser will provide the affected user with a clear and specific explanation of the principal reasons for the decision, where required by applicable law.
The explanation may include:
Phaser may limit the information provided where necessary to protect legal proceedings, security, confidentiality, privacy, fraud-prevention measures, or the rights of others.
Phaser is not a court, rights registry, collecting society, royalty administrator, record label, publisher, distributor, or legal arbitrator.
Phaser is not responsible for resolving complex disputes involving:
Where rights are disputed, unclear, or reasonably contested, Phaser may remove, restrict, or reduce the visibility of the relevant content until the parties resolve the matter independently or provide a binding legal decision.
Users who repeatedly, seriously, knowingly, or intentionally infringe third-party rights may have:
Phaser may also take action against users who submit misleading rights claims, false ownership claims, fraudulent complaints, abusive reports, or attempts to remove profiles without authority.

Phaser may, where appropriate and legally permitted, share relevant parts of the complaint or response with the affected parties so that the matter can be assessed.
Submitting a review request does not guarantee that content will be restored, that a profile will be reinstated, or that account restrictions will be changed.
Phaser cannot provide legal advice about copyright, music rights, licensing, royalties, publishing, labels, trademarks, contracts, ownership disputes, or copyright exceptions and limitations.
These exceptions and limitations may include quotation, criticism, review, parody, reporting, or other uses permitted under applicable law.
